Short answer
There are three practical ways to send one message to many people on WhatsApp: broadcast lists in the WhatsApp Business app, a WhatsApp Sender extension that works inside WhatsApp Web, and the official WhatsApp Business Platform (API). Small lists of customers who saved your number fit broadcast lists; daily sales follow-up from your own number fits an extension; large volumes and automated notifications belong on the API.
What "bulk" really means on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is built for conversations, not mass mailing. Every method below still sends from a number that WhatsApp can restrict if recipients block or report it. The method changes the workflow and the cost, not the rules.
Choose by three questions
How many people, do they expect to hear from you, and do you need replies handled by a person? The answers point to one of the three methods.
Method 1: broadcast lists in WhatsApp Business
A broadcast list sends the same message to several contacts at once, and each person receives it as a private chat.
Where it works well
Existing customers who already saved your business number: offers, opening hours, a new project launch.
The limits
Only recipients who saved your number receive the message, lists have a size limit, and there are no detailed per-recipient reports. Replies arrive as normal chats.
Method 2: a WhatsApp Sender extension on WhatsApp Web
A Chrome extension such as MessageFlow Pro sends prepared messages to a list of numbers from your own WhatsApp Web session, one by one, while the browser stays open.
Step 1: prepare a list you are allowed to contact
Paste numbers or import Excel or CSV. Remove duplicates, check country codes, and keep only people who expect to hear from you.
Step 2: check the numbers
MessageFlow Pro's Turbo Filter checks numbers before the campaign. An Error result is inconclusive, not proof that a number has no WhatsApp account.
Step 3: write a useful message and add files
Lead with the reason for writing, keep it short, and attach the brochure, photo or PDF the customer asked about.
Step 4: set delays and sending windows
Random delays between recipients and daily sending windows keep the campaign inside the hours you choose and let you pause or stop at any time.
Step 5: read the report and follow up
Each campaign keeps sent, failed and stopped results. Replies stay in WhatsApp, and interested customers can be organized as leads.
Method 3: the official WhatsApp Business Platform (API)
The API sends from a verified business number through Meta, with pre-approved message templates and per-message pricing.
| Method | Best for | Recipient must save your number | Cost | Per-recipient report |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Broadcast list (WhatsApp Business app) | Small lists of existing customers | Yes | Free | No |
| WhatsApp Sender extension (e.g. MessageFlow Pro) | Daily sales follow-up from your own number | No | Monthly subscription | Yes |
| WhatsApp Business Platform (API) | High volume and automated notifications | No (opt-in required) | Per message, by category | Yes |
Where it works well
High volumes, automated notifications (orders, appointments, reminders) and teams that need several agents on one number.
What it costs
Meta charges per delivered template message by category and country. See our guide to WhatsApp API prices in Egypt for current rates in EGP.
What it requires
A Meta Business account, a phone number for the API, approved templates and recipients who opted in.
Habits that reduce blocks and reports
No tool can guarantee that a number will never be restricted. These habits lower the risk because they match what recipients expect.
Send to people who expect you
Customers who asked about a project, past clients and leads who shared their number with you. Being in the same group is not permission for separate marketing messages.
Make stopping easy
Tell people how to stop receiving messages and respect it immediately. MessageFlow Pro can stop contacting numbers that reply with an opt-out word.
Start small and watch replies
Send to a small part of the list first, read the replies, then continue. Stop if blocks or complaints rise.
Stay relevant
One clear offer that fits the person beats a long generic message sent to everyone.
